Pastry Chef Sabine Garrido is the owner of the dessert and cake boutique A Love for Cakes. After having worked for 5 years as the executive pastry chef in New York City’s event venue Capitale, she decided it was time to start her own venture and A Love For Cakes was born. Her pastry creations are delighting anyone that is looking for high quality and wants something a little bit indulgent for their special occasions. Sabine learned baking in Germany as a child and continues to bring this influence to the pastries she creates to this day. Her team of cake makers come from a wide range of backgrounds adding their expertise and influences to the venture. A comfortable studio in Maspeth is setting for tastings and consultations, by appointment only.
