Taking Care of your cake once it arrives
Gently! Gently!
Don't Rush
Handle It With Care
Take out your cake without damaging details by cutting the box open, rather than trying to lift it out of the box. The cake will sit snuggly in the box so it can’t shift during transport and you don’t want to damage the board.
LET IT sit for a while.
Your cake tastes best at room temp.
So Let it Rest!
If you are planning on eating it within the next 4-5 hours, leave it out of the fridge and let it come to room temperature, which would take around two hours. If you are planning on eating it much later it would need refrigerating and taking it out at least 2 hours before you want to cut it.
Be Careful!
Multi-tier cakes usually have inedible materials for support
Remember to take care of them before eating
If your cake has more than one tier, it will have dowels in each tier to prevent it from sinking or moving during transport, bear that in mind when cutting it. The dowels are made out of wood and are easy to spot. Decorations usually have some structural items in them, like wires or toothpicks, do not let kids bite into them before removing those.
PLANNING TO TRANSPORT? refrigerate it.
Transport your cake cold
Make Sure To Transport it with Love
If you are planning on taking the cake to a different location, transport it while still cold. The box your cakes come in will keep it cool for a few hours if kept out of direct sunlight and at a regular temperature.
Keep in mind...
You can enjoy your cake for another 3-5 days after your event
But make sure it's properly refrigerated
Special event cakes are not baked on the day of the event, due to the lengthy process of decorating them. Our recipes are designed to withhold refrigeration for several days before the event. We brush simple syrup on each layer of cake to keep them moist. Leftovers will keep for another 3-5 days in the fridge after your event, if the filling has no fresh fruit in it.
